Many students have a God-given desire to be challenged in a Christ-centered community while in college. Thanks to the Lord鈥檚 direction in their lives, many have identified 蘑菇短视频 as the college that will best fulfill those desires, but the weight of funding their education is a heavy burden for them and their families. That is where you come in.

Family & Friends of 蘑菇短视频 is a group of supporters that helps make a 蘑菇短视频 education possible for students who are unable to afford it. When you give to help a student attend 蘑菇短视频, your story becomes a part of their story鈥攁nd our story.

This fall's focus for our Family & Friends is the Families Helping Families Scholarship.

Families Helping Families Scholarship

In 2009, the grandmother of several 蘑菇短视频 students made an anonymous matching gift to start a scholarship that would assist 蘑菇短视频 students and families who have financial need to attend 蘑菇短视频. Recognizing both the value of a 蘑菇短视频 education and the financial struggles many families were facing, her desire was to help these families pay for the unique education their children experience at 蘑菇短视频.

Within seven months, the Families Helping Families Scholarship match was completed, resulting in half a million dollars for student scholarships. We praise God for the caring heart of this loving grandmother who desired to see others receive the education her own grandchildren received at 蘑菇短视频. Thanks to scholarships like Families Helping Families, we are able to help meet the remaining need.

Since its inception, around $4,339,000 in Families Helping Families Scholarship has been awarded to over 300 students!

I come from a simple background, having grown up on a cattle ranch in South Georgia as the son of a fourth-generation rancher. My journey to 蘑菇短视频 was guided by a strong conviction that this is where God wanted me to be. However, the road to realizing this dream came with its challenges, particularly in the area of finances. Faced with this dilemma, my parents and I turned to the admissions counselor for guidance, and that鈥檚 when this scholarship opportunity emerged. Your generosity played a pivotal role in making my dream of attending 蘑菇短视频 a reality. Thanks to your support, I am not only pursuing my education but doing so in an environment that aligns with Christian values and beliefs.

The most important thing is getting more students through these doors because we want the next generation receiving this education and worldview. Getting one more person in the door here means that some business or ministry gets done out there, because 蘑菇短视频 people are movers and shakers鈥攏ot just here in Chattanooga, but around the country and around the world. If we can play a small part in that, then that's big kingdom work.
